Why the Food Pantry?
The price of food keeps going up and you may need help to obtain food to eat. Inflation is rising and it costs more to buy meat, dairy products like milk or eggs, produce, and groceries. If you have a large family of seven or more people, it might cost you hundreds of dollars a month for food.
Basic Information
Our food pantry distributes food on Mondays and Wednesdays at the Jim Arpin pantry building. We open at 10:15 a.m. and will close at 12:00 p.m. noon or before then, if the amount of food allotted for that day has been distributed.
Neighbors needing food assistance can attend every other week. We are distributing appointment cards specifying what dates a family can attend.
The food you receive is based on what has been donated for the week. We strive to give you a balanced mixture of frozen food, meat, canned goods, packaged goods, bread, dairy and produce (if available).
How to Get Food
If you come for food, please line up in the parking lot on the right side of St. Ann Catholic Church, 1311 Robinson Dr., Haines City 33844. Obtain a pink card with a number for your place in line.
After you park by our building, you will come inside for a short interview. Bring your pink card and a form of identification.
After your interview, you will receive a white card with a black number. This is your food number. Return to your vehicle and place the white card under one of your windshield wipers. Our volunteers will create your food order.
As soon as your food order is ready, drive to our loading zone to pick it up. Please make room in your vehicle to receive the food before you drive to the loading zone. Our volunteers will bring your food order to your vehicle using a food cart.
